Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Quizify ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our quiz and assessment platform at quizify (the "Service").

We designed Quizify with a simple principle: we collect the minimum data needed to run the Service, and your teaching materials stay yours.

1. Who We Are

Quizify is an AI-powered quiz and assessment platform for teachers, test-prep centers, and students. The Service is operated from the Republic of Uzbekistan. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at support@quizify.uz.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account data (Telegram sign-in)

Sign-in is performed through Telegram. When you log in, we receive from Telegram:

  • Your Telegram ID
  • Your first and last name
  • Your username (if set)
  • Your profile photo (if public)

We never see or store your Telegram password, phone contacts, or messages. We do not receive your phone number unless you explicitly share it.

2.2 Content you create

  • Quiz templates, questions, and answer keys
  • Assignments and their settings
  • Documents and materials you upload for AI generation
  • AI chat conversations and the AI assistant's "memory" about your preferences

2.3 Student attempt data

When a student takes a test, we record:

  • Answers submitted and scores
  • Start, submission, and grading timestamps
  • Activity events during the test (for example, leaving the test tab), which are shown to the teacher for information only

2.4 Payment data

Subscription payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We store your subscription plan, payment history, and credit balance. We never store your card number or banking credentials.

2.5 Technical data

Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and language preference — used for security, debugging, and improving the Service.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the Service: creating quizzes, running assignments, grading, and showing results
  • To power AI features: generating quizzes, assisting with grading, and personalizing the assistant
  • To process subscriptions and enforce plan limits
  • To send service notifications (for example, through our Telegram bot)
  • To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse
  • To comply with applicable law

We do not sell your personal data. We do not show third-party advertising.

4. AI Processing

Quizify uses Google Gemini models to power AI features. When you use AI generation, grading assistance, or the chat assistant, the relevant content (your prompt, uploaded document excerpts, questions to grade) is sent to the AI provider for processing.

  • Your uploaded documents are private to your account and used only to fulfil your requests.
  • The AI assistant's "memory" about you can be reviewed and erased at any time in Settings.
  • AI output may contain errors. Teachers are expected to review AI-generated questions and AI-suggested grades before using them.

5. Students and Minors

Many test takers are school students, including minors. We apply data minimization to student accounts:

  • Students only need a Telegram account to join a test with a code.
  • Teachers control what results and correct answers students can see.
  • Attempt data is visible only to the student and the teacher who owns the assignment.
  • Activity monitoring during tests is informational and never results in automatic penalties.

Teachers and organizations are responsible for ensuring they have the authority to assess their students.

6. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

  • AI providers (Google Gemini) — to process AI requests, as described above
  • Payment providers — to process subscription payments
  • Infrastructure providers — hosting, storage, and monitoring services bound by confidentiality obligations
  • Authorities — when required by applicable law

7. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Account data is kept while your account is active.
  • Uploaded documents can be deleted by you at any time; deletion removes them from AI generation.
  • AI memory can be erased by you at any time.
  • If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, payment records).

8. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and server-side enforcement of permissions. Result visibility rules are enforced on the server — students can never access correct answers unless the teacher allows it.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data (most profile data is editable in Settings)
  • Delete your documents, AI memory, or entire account
  • Object to specific processing

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision.
